It connects farmers with verified agricultural experts and provides structured, day-by-day farming programmes for crops, poultry, livestock, and fish farming. You do not need a smartphone — you can receive daily activity reminders via SMS on any phone.

No. MkulimaHub is designed for Kenyan farmers and only requires your Kenyan phone number and a 6-digit PIN to register. There is no email required at any point.

Yes. You can set your preferred language to Swahili, English, or a Kenyan local language during registration. SMS reminders and programme activities will be delivered in your chosen language.

Yes. Several programmes — including our Hybrid Maize Production guide — are available completely free of charge. Premium programmes (marked with a price) require a small subscription fee paid via M-Pesa. Free programmes include the full day-by-day activity guide but do not include direct Q&A with the programme expert.

MkulimaHub SMS reminders work on all Kenyan mobile networks: Safaricom, Airtel, Telkom, and Faiba. You will receive an SMS at 7:00 AM every morning for each active programme you are enrolled in.

Click "Forgot PIN" on the login page. Enter your registered phone number and you will receive a one-time OTP (One-Time Password) via SMS. Use the OTP to set a new 6-digit PIN. The OTP expires after 10 minutes.

A farming programme is a structured, day-by-day guide created by a verified agricultural expert. Each programme covers an entire production cycle (e.g., 45 days for broilers, 90 days for tomatoes). After enrolling, you receive a daily SMS at 7 AM telling you exactly what to do on that day — whether it is vaccinating your chickens, applying fertiliser, or checking for pests.

Yes. You can enrol in as many programmes as you need. If you are farming tomatoes and keeping dairy cows at the same time, you can enrol in both programmes and receive separate SMS reminders for each.

Your programme continues from where you are. You can log into MkulimaHub at any time to review past activities and catch up on anything you missed. For time-sensitive activities (like vaccinations), it is better to do them late than to skip them entirely.

All payments are made via M-Pesa STK Push. After selecting a programme, click "Subscribe" and enter your M-Pesa PIN when the STK Push prompt appears on your phone. You will receive a confirmation SMS from both Safaricom and MkulimaHub once payment is complete.

We offer a 7-day satisfaction guarantee on all paid programme subscriptions. If you are not satisfied within 7 days of subscribing, contact us via the Q&A feature or call our support line and we will process a full refund to your M-Pesa.

The Seasonal package (KES 499) gives you 90 days of daily SMS reminders and access to the programme expert for Q&A. The Annual package (KES 999) gives you 365 days of access and is ideal for dairy, avocado, and other long-cycle programmes. It also includes unlimited Q&A with the assigned expert.

All experts go through a verification process that includes: submission of academic or professional certificates, an interview with our agricultural advisory team, and a review of their practical farming track record. Only experts who pass this process receive the "Verified Expert" badge on their profile.

Verified experts on MkulimaHub are required to respond to questions within 24 hours on working days. For urgent questions (e.g., disease outbreak or pest emergency), expert responses typically come within 4–6 hours.

Yes. If you are a qualified agronomist, veterinarian, or agricultural extension officer with at least 5 years of practical farming experience in Kenya, you can apply to become a verified expert. Contact us through the website or email info@mkulimahub.co.ke with your CV and qualifications.
