Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on MkulimaHub ("Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not register or use the Platform.

2. Who May Register

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Kenya to register as a user. By registering you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and belongs to you.

3. Platform Services

MkulimaHub connects Kenyan farmers with agricultural experts through advisory programmes, market information, knowledge articles, and community forums. We do not guarantee specific agricultural outcomes or income from advice obtained on the Platform.

4. User Accounts and Security

  • You are responsible for keeping your PIN confidential. Do not share it with anyone.
  • Notify us immediately at support@mkulimahub.co.ke if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that show signs of misuse or fraudulent activity.

5. Payments and Enrolment Fees

  • Programme enrolment fees are processed via M-Pesa. All fees are stated in Kenyan Shillings (KES).
  • A platform service fee is deducted from each enrolment payment. The remainder is credited to the expert who runs the programme.
  • Payments are non-refundable once an enrolment is confirmed, except where a programme is cancelled by the expert or the Platform.
  • Disputed transactions must be reported within 7 days of the payment date.

6. Expert Responsibilities

Experts registered on the Platform agree to:

  • Provide accurate qualifications and professional information.
  • Deliver programme content as described to enrolled farmers.
  • Respond to farmer questions within a reasonable time.
  • Not share or resell content submitted through the Platform without consent.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or harmful agricultural advice.
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
  • Attempt to access accounts that do not belong to you.
  • Use the Platform to spam, advertise external services, or conduct fraudulent transactions.
  • Reverse-engineer or scrape any part of the Platform.

8. Intellectual Property

All Platform content, branding, and software are the property of MkulimaHub or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Content you submit (questions, forum posts, programme materials) remains yours. You grant MkulimaHub a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute that content within the Platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, MkulimaHub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform or reliance on advice provided by experts. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to the Platform in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via SMS.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi County.
